Learning Curve

Everyone goes through thunders and storms in life. Many times, the situation is beyond our control. You have put in effort in whatever your endeavour, but the results seem to deviate from the effort that you put in. Debt building, money is stagnant and dwindling. Disappointment after disappointment. Your dream seems to be far from reach. Your mind osciliates between giving up and pressing on. Sounds familiar, huh?

This morning, I woke up. Oh dear, it's another day again. But, as I spent quiet time reading the daily devotional, it spoke to me. The disciples and Jesus were in the ship, and they were facing terrible storm. The disciples were panic, while Jesus was fast asleep. And when they woke Him up, He calmed the storm by just giving one command.

Jesus is indeed sovereign and in control of everything. All we have to do is to invite Him into our "boat", and commit the situation to Him, and trust Him totally. For He is trustworthy, dependable and a mighty God.

He is great indeed. As the song goes...Rest my soul, in Christ alone. Know His power, in quietness and trust. When the ocean rise and thunder roars, I will soar with You above the storm. Father, You are king over the flood. I will be still and know You're God...
