Chemistry between two persons is very subjective and inexplanable. While efforts can be made, there are times that it just doesn't work. Of course, there are some which endure times and turn up to be good and better. Time will tell..so long we don't give up or shut off...don't you agree?

It's an amazing week this week. It started with a peaceful and fruitful sales meeting this week, and followed by a changed atmostphere in office. And above all,are the changed hearts too. Gentler mannerism, enlightened hearts, entertaining moments, and good lunch bonding despite the traffic. Many of us seek to be understood. It's amazing and a wonder, when you seek to understand others. The openness and reconcilation. When you choose to give and contribute and be the thermostat, wonders take place.
It's a week that despite pressure and disappointment, I enjoyed very much.

Heard a sermon over City Harvest Live Webcast yesterday. It's about faith. Yes, faith again! Here're what I have taken away:
We shape our life by what we believe and speak. If you speak death (like Chinese says, "Sei"), it will be dead; if you speak life, it will be alive. In 2 Corinthians 4:13, it is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak.
Do you truly believe in God's word and promises? If so, start speaking to your circumstances with faith, proclaiming God's word and promises into your life, in faith.

The bible is all about relationship in all aspects. Relationship with God, with yourself and with others.
Why is it important?
* To be successful, you need to have good interpersonal skill and build good relationship with others. ~Frank Roosevelt
* A manager or a leader, has not value-adding if he/she can't mobilise people, even though he/she is smart/ highly intellectual. There's a saying that if you are zero EQ, the game is over.
Have you noticed why some people are very much welcome, or accepted by others, whereas some are not? Most likely, the former is someone who give affirmation, love, respect and acceptance to others.
God is always proactive in relationship. You can see that in the bible, when Adam & Eve sinned, and Cain murdered his brother, God was the one made the initiative to lookout for them. In Mark 12:30, "Love your God with all your heart, soul & mind. Love others as yourself." Lets decipher the sequence: 1st Love God, 2nd Love yourself, 3rd Love others. So, love yourself comes before loving others. Love yourself is to affirm, respect and accept yourself. Because, God has done so to us.
Your relationship with yourself is important as it affects your relationship with others:
* Someone who wants to cover their weakness likes to correct others
* Those who like to judge other are often lack of self affirmation
So, love your God with all your heart, soul & mind. Love others as yourself. So, strive to build good relationship and work on the interpersonal skill. It will carry you far...you will be amazed at the outpour of willingness & helps in all your circumstances. When you shout at the valley, the valley resonates your voice, and nothing else. So it is when it comes to relationship.

Today, in church, Pastor shared about 3 steps of welcoming the King's glory:
1. Seek to understand, recognising the season
2. Declare the glory thru prophesy and telling His mighty works. Lifting up the possibilities.
3. Continue to seek Him even more. For he is great healer and creator. Be externally focused
Psalm24, 1 Cor 2:9-10
As I reflected. The following song came. And as I asked God, how do I experience more of His glory in me and thru me besides the above steps, the verses in John 11 came. Lazarus was dead. Mary & Martha were very sad and said if Jesus had come earlier, their brother would not be dead. Jesus told Martha, in John 11:40, "Did I not tell you if you believe, you will see the glory of God?" Jesus then called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. He raised Lazarus from the dead.
Do you truely 100% believe in Him, of who He says He? If you believe, you will see His Glory in whatever situation and wherever you are. The lyric of the song goes :-

Attended Millionaire Mind Intensive Workshop, a 3 full days workshop, from 23 May to 25 May 2008. Held in The Mines Exhibition and Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur. There were 4800 participants.
We have many emotions over money, as well as over many things in our lives. On the 3rd day of the workshop, we teamed up in groups of 10. Each person get an arrow. At the tip of the arrow, we were instructed to write one thing that we want to break in our lives. Before the game started, we had to sign off an indemnity letter. Then, the game begin. One person will be the holder, one person will be a breaker. Both were given protective goggles. The end of arrow will be put at the palm of the holder, while the tip of the arrow will be put at the soft patch above the collar bone in the middle of the neck. Then, the breaker will push the upper body towards the holder to break the arrow which was in between the 2.
For me, before I did it, I had second thought..to quit. But, I decided to go ahead. As I pushed slowly towards the holder, I felt a bit painful. Then as I saw the arrow started to bend, I pushed on further and further, faster. And it broke steadily. I glad I did it inspite of fear.
Courage is not absence of fear, but it is to act inspite of fear. When we face the Goliath in our lives, lets be like David, face it not by our might or power, but by the spirit of God, and truly trust in who He says He is, the great I am. As we seek our breakthrough in our lives, lets be like Paul, pressing on towards the goal. Our God is Baal Perazzim. The breakthrough will come as we press on.

2 weeks ago, I accompanied a friend to collect her new car from USJ industrial area. It was an honour to be her first passanger, yet I kept joking with her that I risk my life to accompany her. Haha.
After we collected her new car, the salesman gave us the direction to drive home and the nearest petrol station. As we drove out, hit on the highway, we missed the first petrol station on the left. Then, we passby second petrol station, we missed it again as we were driving on the centre lane and there were too many cars on the left that can allow us to do so. Thereafter, we were caught in a massive jam. The fuel tank light kept appearing. Finally, we were about 500m away from a petrol station, the car came to a stop. I was prepared to get down from the car and make a dash to the petrol station. My friend, quickly turned off the engine, prayed and turned it on again. The car get started. Praise God! We then quickly drove to the petrol station which was 500m away to fill up the tank.
Isn't it the same with our life? Busy with many things in our lives, like Martha. We find it difficult to be like Mary, to sit at the feet of Jesus, to learn from him and to spend time with him...to fill up our spiritual tank. But that is very important. To take us further in our journey, we can't run on a low fuel tank, but a filled tank.

In the interview by Paul Bradshaw with Rick Warren, Rick said: 2. About midway through last year, I stopped taking a salary from the church.
People ask me, What is the purpose of life? And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were not made to last forever, and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.
One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body-- but not the end of me.
I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in eternity. This is the warm-up act - the dress rehearsal. God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity.
We were made by God and for God, and until you figure that out, life isn't going to make sense.
Life is a series of problems: Either you are in one now, you're just coming out of one, or you're getting ready to go into another one.
The reason for this is that God is more interested in your character than your comfort.
God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy.
We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that's not the goal of life. The goal is to grow in character, in Christ likeness.
This past year has been the greatest year of my life but also the toughest, with my wife, Kay, getting cancer.
I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then you go to the mountaintop, back and forth. I don't believe that anymore.
Rather than life being hills and valleys, I believe that it's kind of like two rails on a railroad track, and at all times you have something good and something bad in your life.
No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that needs to be worked on.
And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good you can thank God for.
You can focus on your purposes, or you can focus on your problems.
If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness,'which is my problem, my issues, my pain.' But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get your focus off yourself and onto God and others.
We discovered quickly that in spite of the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people, God was not going to heal Kay or make it easy for her.
It has been very difficult for her, and yet God has strengthened her character, given her a ministry of helping other people, given her a testimony, drawn her closer to Him and to people.
You have to learn to deal with both the good and the bad of life.
Actually, sometimes learning to deal with the good is harder. For instance, this past year, all of a sudden, when the book sold 15 million copies, it made me instantly very wealthy.
It also brought a lot of notoriety that I had never had to deal with before. I don't think God gives you money or notoriety for your own ego or for you to live a life of ease.
So I began to ask God what He wanted me to do with this money, notoriety and influence. He gave me two different passages that helped me decide what to do, II Corinthians 9 and Psalm 72
1. In spite of all the money coming in, we would not change our lifestyle one bit. We made no major purchases.
3. We set up foundations to fund an initiative we call The Peace Plan to plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the next generation.
4. I added up all that the church had paid me in the 24 years since I started the church, and I gave it all back. It was liberating to be able to serve God for free.
We need to ask ourselves: Am I going to live for possessions? Popularity?
Am I going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?
When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am than what I do.
That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.
Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.
Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.
Painful moments, TRUST GOD.
Every moment, THANK GOD.

Crawling out from the rubble. Face covered with dust. Smoke kept coming out from the rubble. Out from the rubble, I stood and looked up. Behold, I was at an open plain. There was another mountain at far end. But I stood tall.
Running through the bushes and trees in the jungle. The face covered with lots of scars, being scratched by the torns and twit. As I came to an open area, the surrounding was all white. I couldn't see a single thing. Then, suddenly, I saw a magnificient waterfall pouring down. I raised up my hand. Rejoice. Refreshed.
" Time of Refreshing, here in Your presence. No greater blessing, than being with You. My soul is restored, my mind is renewed. There's no greater joy, than being with You."
A building was being torn down. The ground was cleaned up. A new building was constructured. Only when we are willing to surrender to his sovereignty, restoration will follow. A firmer and stronger structure, with strong foundation.
Courage is not an absence of fear. An overcomer, is to stay positive attitude inspite of circumstances. We can stand tall when we face our giant, so long we know who is the One behind us.

3 visions of drifting boat: One vision saw the boat drifting in an open sea; another saw the boat in an open sea trying to sail over a rock; another saw the boat trying to balance itself in a stormy rough sea. Another vision came: the boat was sailing in a stormy rough sea, trying to balance itself, but it had an anchor in the seabed. It still stayed afloat. Suddenly, sunlight pierced through the dark cloud, and the weather clear off.
It's a season of finding anchor, and the anchor is none other than the Word of God. Heaven and earth will fade, circumstances may change, but His Word will still remain. In His Word we can hang on to, and in His Word, we can safely trust.
